Week 1 – Day 7

Dear Friend,

Who do you call God in your life? Not what, but rather “who”. Christ has so many names scattered all across the Bible, each of them inspiring and awesome, yet Jesus asked Peter straight out, “Who do YOU say that I am?” All of the disciples were eager to share what everyone was saying about Jesus on the street and in their communities. All well and good, but Christ then brought the focus home and asked them the all important question. “Who do YOU say that I am?” It mattered to Him what His disciples, His intimate ones called Him because their victory hinged on who they believed Jesus to be. (Matthew 16:13-19)

You see, whoever you call God is exactly “who” He will be in your life.

When I found out I had growths in my body I needed a healer, Jesus was my healer. When I battled fear in my mind, I needed a deliverer – He was the One who brought “peace, which surpassed understanding.” When I faced rejection and hurt from those closest to me, I longed for freedom from hurt and bitterness, He was the “healer of my brokenheartedness”. Jesus died for my victory! Abundant life is mine in the areas that I need Him to move into and change!

Who do you need Him to be in your life today? Do you need an emotional healer? A financial provider? Healer of your body and mine? I can guarantee that anything you need was purchased on the cross and provided for you. Within the scriptures lurks evidence that Christ is already everything you need.

Jesus told Peter that God had “revealed” to him that he was the “Son of the Living God”. That is exactly what you are looking for, revelation of “who” God is in your life today! Time to stop relying on yourself for your victory but begin to see Him as your source of deliverance, freedom, strength, etc. Who do you need God to be for you? Tell Him, call out to Him!

Jesus, I cannot do this on my own! You purchased my freedom! Be my Savior!
I call you…

MY HEALER

MY STRONG TOWER

MY COMFORTER

MY STRENGTHENER

MY DELIVERER

MY JOY

MY RESTORATION

MY PRESENT HELP IN TIME OF TROUBLE

MY PROVIDER

MY PEACE

Who do you say that He is? He is all that you need and more! So begin a Word search. Choose one of the many names above and find scriptures that reinforce His validity in your mind. Write them down, highlight them, and read them again and again. Be prepared as you do this, God will begin to describe the truth of who He is in your life. Write this revelation as a personal promise to you within your journal. Every scripture will become truth first in your mind and then evident in your life. Your freedom is within your personal name for your Father God!

Love,
Jen

Journal:

Praise Him for Who He is in your life. Gather scriptures that back up the promises you are standing on. (Google the terms above, read the scriptures individually and find the ones that bring you hope and promise. Write them down to go back to the next few days. Use the Word as supernatural medicine. Speak it out loud throughout the day like a prescription.) Don’t accept other people’s views of God as your own, instead develop a personal knowledge of Him as YOUR deliverer, joy, provider etc. Once your knowledge of God is based on intimate experience the enemy cannot shake you from your truth.
