Week 4 – Day 26

Dear Friend,

During my stand against the spirit of fear, God revealed to me a truth that brought His entire Word into perspective. At the same time, a weight lifted off of me and I could finally see that God had a foolproof plan—which meant that even I could work it. That was the beginning of my transformation.

Look at these scriptures:

Ephesians 6:16 (KJV)
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

These scriptures would go over and over in my head; reminding me that it was my responsibility to take my faith and have it be strong enough to stop all the thoughts that the enemy and others brought against me. My mind would remind me that if I felt fear then my faith wasn’t strong enough and God must not be pleased with me. It seemed simple to me: If you are feeling fear = God displeased = You fail. Wow. No wonder I struggled with so much fear, I had it all backwards. One day God showed me that His plan of faith and freedom was a finished work, and the best part was that I am not responsible to finish it… Jesus is!

Look here:

Hebrews 12:2 (KJV)
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jesus is the actual author of the faith that you possess! He is also called the “finisher of our faith”. God knows you are a work in progress. He takes the responsibility to develop and perfect you. The pressure, the responsibility isn’t on you to make it work, so you cannot fail.

Philippians 1:6 (AMPC)
And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.

As long as the enemy can keep you thinking that freedom relies on you and your works, he can keep influencing your emotions. The minute you turn and recognize that God’s plan of Christ being responsible for your deliverance is true, God’s power goes to work on your behalf. Go back up to Hebrews 11:6. Look at the second part of the scripture: Believe that God is… Believe that He is what? That HE IS GOD! Not you. And the best part: That He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. That is a carte blanche offer from God to run to Him for any and all you need. If your mind is full of thoughts of fear, run to Him. Call on Him. Seek Him! Remind yourself that He is a rewarder for you turning all your reliance onto Him. Imagine that! Being blessed because you are weak and in need of Him to be your God. Now that is the truth that set me free.

The pressure came off of me and revelation filled my soul. From then on when I read the Word, it only confirmed the goodness of God on my behalf.

Isaiah 54:14-15 and 17 (AMP)

14“You will be firmly established in righteousness:
You will be far from [even the thought of] oppression, for you will not fear,
And from terror, for it will not come near you.

15“If anyone fiercely attacks you it will not be from Me.
Whoever attacks you will fall because of you.

17“No weapon that is formed against you will succeed;
And every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn.
This [peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And this is their vindication from Me,” says the Lord

This is the truth about your future and how you are walking out free from fear once and for all:

  • You are established on Christ’s righteousness, because He died for you and destroyed the power of the enemy over your life, forever! (Colossians 2:15 AMP)
  • Terror doesn’t have a right to come near you.
  • You have changed your thoughts by running to God, so anxiety is replaced by the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. (Philippians 4:6-7 AMP)
  • God isn’t bringing this attack, so it will have to be defeated because your relationship with God makes it illegal.
  • Any weapon that forms, including words (thoughts) that inspire fear, are incapable of succeeding for there is no truth in them. (John 8:44)
  • YOU will prove those words to be wrong! This is your actual heritage, proving them wrong and living in peace, righteousness, security and triumphing is your vindication for what you have endured!! This means you not only win, but you walk out FREE AND VICTORIOUS!!!

I am super excited for your freedom, Friend! You know who you are and who God is in you! Nothing can stop that combination! Jesus is LORD!

Love,
Jen

Meditation:

Colossians 2:15  (AMPC)

[God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross].

Philippians 4:6-8 (AMP)

6 Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. 7 And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].
8 Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].
